Chris climbs Table Mountain

Table Mountain is the flat mountain above Cape Town.

It took about 2 hours for me to climb to the top. Fitbit called it 120 floors but it is more like 1800 feet of elevation (180 floors) to climb. Imagine climbing slippery, rocky, uneven stairs for 2 hours in the dense, cold fog and that is the experience. Many people in Cape Town climb it several times a week for exercise.

I took the cable car back down to the bottom. Honestly, I find going down on the slippery rocks much harder than going up so I was happy with the cable car option.

I don't have any great pictures of the views because it was so foggy.  We might take the cable car back up there later in the week if the weather improves.

After hiking, I met back up with Trevor and Angela for lunch at the fun Truth Coffee. We did some light touring in the afternoon and then had a light dinner at The Moveable Feast.

Tomorrow, we have a culinary tour.
