Chris is in Namibia

After another half day of travel, we have arrived in Namibia.  Travel involved a commercial flight followed by one of the small, squishy, propeller planes. 

So far, Namibia does not disappoint.  Hoodia Lodge is our first of 3 stops in Namibia.  I have a cute bungalow. 

We arrived here just in time to catch the sun setting over the Namib Desert. The lodge set us up with some drinks and snacks to watch the sun set and the stars to come out. There is virtually no light pollution here so the stars are as bright as I've ever seen them. 

Dinner was spinach ravioli followed by beef and topped off with a chocolate tart. 

Tomorrow, we travel to see the sand dunes.
