More rain and my legs are spent from 3 days of hiking so I did a few of the shorter walks to see the remaining restored Moai.
They restored the coral eyes on this one. It's the only one on the island with the eyes restored.
I met some very nice people. There is the Chinese couple who currently live in Argentina. She is not a hiker and so was always way behind the group. I would drop back and chat with her... well mostly make fun of the rest of the people in the group. There is also a Chilean couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today. They were fascinated with me traveling by myself and asked question after question. I asked their secret to 50 years of marriage. Her answer: "Better the person you know than the person you don't." Ok... I guess. Not terribly romantic.
Rice pudding for lunch
Every archeological site has a dog that greets you at the gate and then accompanies you during your visit.
Tomorrow, I fly back to Santiago and then fly home on Saturday night. 4 days on Easter Island is perfect. There is a lot to see but I am looking forward to getting back to good internet service.
