Chris and Henry are in Zanzibar

We are in Zanzibar.  That's it - #50.  Goal achieved!

We are also still Covid negative as we had another test today.

The thing about traveling during Covid is that you really have to work for it.  It's not so much having to wear masks a lot but all the extra paperwork you need to do.  Each country has their own online form and QR Code system and testing requirements. Good thing my phone works here because the rules seems to change daily. For example, now you need to refresh your Kenya QR Code each time you arrive in Nairobi.  We were literally typing into the online form on my phone while in line at arrivals in Nairobi.

Other than making it to Zanzibar, today was a boring travel day.  We flew on the small plane back to Nairobi.  To me, flying in small planes is a lot like driving through the mid-town tunnel, I'd be fine if I never did it again.

In Nairobi, we went to the elephant orphanage and learned about how they rescue the baby elephants and then introduce them back to the wild once they are big enough.

We had a horrible 3 hour drive to the Nairobi Airport.  It seems that the entire city of Nairobi is under construction.  And our flight was delayed.

We think the hotel in Zanzibar is nice.  We arrived at 11:00 pm and we are exhausted.  They anticipated our late arrival and had snacks waiting for us in the room so that's a good sign.

More tomorrow...
