Chris and Henry are in Kenya

Kenya - That's country #49 for Chris and #6 for Henry.  As I close in on 50 by 50, Henry is embarking on 20 by 20.

Our trip to Kenya begins in the Masai Mara.  I won't keep you in suspense. This ladies and gentleman is a lion

She's hanging out by herself on the zebra trail because she needs to get some meat for her 3 cubs who are about 5 weeks old.  We spent most of the game drive tonight looking for these little guys knowing that she had them hidden somewhere near her.

Today's game drive theme was go big or go home.  We also saw hippos and elephants.

Over the next few days, we will do several games drives including watching the migration from The Serengeti to the Mara.   The Serengeti and the Mara cover an area that is slightly larger than the size of Connecticut.

We are staying at another tent camp right next to the Mara River. There are no fences so we need to be escorted by a guard to protect us from the animals when we move from our tent to the common areas where they serve meals.

Speaking of tents, this one is nice too

The flight from Uganda to Kenya was in another small plane. The actual flight was fine but immigration was confusing especially with all the extra covid precautions.  Kenya requires you register and get a QRCode so they can track your covid status.  We had to land in a larger airport just over the Kenya border to go through immigration and customs before re-boarding the plane to continue on to our flight to the Mara.

Stay tuned for many more pictures of animals.
