Chris and Henry go on a game drive

After a very short seaplane ride, we arrived at Yala National Park.

The tent camp is nice but we are starting to get lonely. Tourism in Sri Lanka is just starting to recover from the Easter terrorist attack.  At Water Garden, there were only a few guests with the restaurant full only the last night.  At Tea Trails, there were 2 other families and we were the only guests at our bungalow last night.  We are the only guests at the tent camp! It's like the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse.

Our tent is quite nice with air conditioning and a real bathroom.

Lunch today was pork curry.  We are officially done with curry.  I'm ready for a cheeseburger.

We had an afternoon game drive today. No leopard sightings. We did see water buffalo, 3 kinds of deer, 2 kinds of mongoose, peacocks, a giant squirrel, monkeys, and a sounder of wild boar.  One of the deer is the smallest deer in Asia called a mouse deer. How small? The giant squirrel was bigger.

Tomorrow we have an early morning game drive.
