We had a very quick trip to Philadelphia just to see the Yankees play at Citizens Bank Park.
Showing our colors in Philadelphia. That's Aaron Judge in the background. The Philadelphia crowd is world renowned for its hatred for any opposing team and we were worried about openly cheering for the Yankees but the crowd was evenly mixed between Phillies and Yankees fans. There's safety in numbers. We did have the most obnoxious fan ever sitting a few rows behind us. We hoped he'd run out of steam a few innings in but, you have to give him credit, he was able to maintain his high level of annoyance for all nine.
Citizens Bank Park is a very nice stadium. Like all the modern stadiums, it has the field-level concourse so you can walk around and still see the game. Excellent selection of food - from the famous Cheesesteak to macaroni and cheese.
Besides the game, we also visited the Italian Market and had cheesesteaks for lunch.
We are staying at The Ritz-Carlton which is conveniently located near City Hall and near the subway that goes directly to the ballpark. I think the elevators in the hotel have been here since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The Ritz-Carlton fulfilled one of Butch's important hotel criteria - good lobby bar for people watching.

We all know what a hotel snob Butch can be. This is a really nice hotel but it's not The Four Seasons so he was skeptical. We had a round of drinks between visiting the Italian Market and the game. He was annoyed because there were no cocktail nuts and actually said to me... wait for it... "At The Four Seasons, we'd have cocktail nuts."
As I've said, this is a quick trip. We are driving back up to NYC immediately after breakfast.
