Early morning bullet train from Kyoto to Tokyo.
We walked from Tokyo Station to our hotel. So far, Henry and I have done a great job with navigating and figuring out the trains. We've made very few mistakes. It goes without saying that Japan trains are easier to navigate than the NYC subway.
We are staying at Aman Tokyo which is on the 33rd - 38th floors of the Otemachi Tower. The Aman is a bucket list hotel for me. A picture is worth 1000 words so here's our room
The pool is on the 34th floor. The underwater photos are particularly fun with the sun shining directly into the windows.
Tokyo Dome is an exciting place to watch a game. The fans are into every single pitch with coordinated cheers for each player and each situation. Turn up the volume and click on the videos below to listen to and see the crowd.
Watch this video and notice when the orange shirts turn to blue shirts. I've never seen such a distinct line between the home team crowd and the visitors. The place sounds completely different depending on which team is at bat.
Besides a more active crowd, the games are quicker. The pitcher wastes no time on the mound. Instead of selling cans of beer, the vendors have kegs on their backs and serve the beer in plastic cups.
And they sell sushi
We are currently relaxing at the hotel. Have not decided what to do for dinner tonight. We had Shake Shack burgers at the game.
Tomorrow we visit the fish market.
