Here I am blogging from an undisclosed location.

I could go on and on about all the amazing things to see and do in NYC but by far my favorite is the theater.
I don’t have any tips about scoring Hamilton tickets but I have tips about seeing many of the other wonderful shows in town.
First of all, I rarely pay full price and I never stand in line at one of those booths in Times Square. Two wonderful resources for buying tickets at a discount price are BroadwayBox.com and the TodayTix app. Use my referral code, YGWQU, at TodayTix to receive $10.00 off your first purchase. Subscribing to emails from TheaterMania is another good resource for ticket deals.
If you are in NYC often then consider purchasing a membership at one of the many non-profit theater groups. The most popular are Roundabout, Manhattan Theater Club, The Public and Second Stage but there are plenty of other smaller groups in need of your patronage. One of my favorite things is seeing a show in a more intimate off-Broadway setting before the show transfers to the big Broadway houses.
Eating near Times Square can be a challenge. My favorite restaurants are Orso, Toloache, Sardi’s and Remi. There are a lot of chain restaurants in Time Square. It is best to avoid these. A good rule of thumb is if there is the same restaurant in your hometown then avoid it in NYC. NYC has so much good food so don’t waste your precious calories on something you can easily have at home.
