The best part of this picture was watching Sam and Charlene run to join us after setting the timer.
Eric really wanted to swim in crystal clear water so they rented a boat to take them out to the good snorkeling places. Butch and I had already been snorkeling and we wanted to explore some more of the beaches to the south of Jolly Harbour. The gang went on the boat while Butch and I went south.
It is so much fun driving around the island stopping at beach after beach. Each beach is different. The south of the island is also much more mountainous than the area around Jolly Harbour.
Butch and I discovered the hands-down best restaurant we’ve ever been to in the Caribbean… Jacqui O’s Love Beach. We ordered so much food because we could not pick just a single item. Each dish was better than the last. Here are some food porn pictures
We will definitely try to visit Jacqui O’s again before we leave.
Antigua is also famous for Black Pineapple pictured here with another local fruit, sugar apples. Black pineapple is sweeter than the pineapple we are accustomed to and the sugar apple tasted like a sweet banana.
Tomorrow, Butch and I are taking a helicopter ride while the rest of the gang will hang around in Jolly Harbour.
