Antigua is famously known for its 365 beaches. Today, we drove just south of Jolly Harbour to Turners Beach. It might be our new favorite beach. Not crowded. Good waves. Cute restaurant with great food. Everything you could ask for in a beach. It doesn’t hurt that the weather is absolutely stunning today. The weather here is our favorite of all the islands we’ve been to. The sun is hot but there is always a nice breeze.
A few funny stories involving Sam. We’ve been calling him Kevin McCallister (Home Alone) all day because we accidentally locked him in the house on the way to Turners. We locked the door to the house and were getting in the cars when someone finally said “Where’s Sam?” But the funniest thing is that Sam does not drink but he played bartender all day yesterday. He just kept putting random stuff in the blender, mixing it up and pouring it into our glasses. He even alerted us when the beer levels were getting dangerously low.
We are relaxing at the house right now. The gang is going to Shirley Heights for the Sunday night BBQ. My cold is not improving so I’m going to skip the BBQ and instead have dinner in town. I love being able to walk to the bars and restaurants.
